Lauren Bader has worked in public health and community engagement for more than 15 years, leading and strengthening high-impact programs across the U.S. and globally. Her work has focused on building trusted relationships, coordinating complex initiatives, and advancing programs that reflect local priorities.
Her experience includes coordinating one of the country’s largest public health workforce and emergency response efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic through the CDC Foundation; managing USAID-funded infectious disease prevention and control programs in Southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa; designing and evaluating national health communication campaigns with the CDC; and establishing community-rooted youth development programs in South African townships.
Bader brings expertise in social and behavior change, health communication, and stakeholder engagement, with a collaborative, systems-oriented approach to building networks and translating community insights into action. She holds an MPH in global health and health communication from George Washington University.
Outside of work, Bader enjoys playing in the dirt, snow, and water and spending time with her co-dependent, spoiled dog. She usually spends her weekends rock climbing, biking, rafting, or skiing. She also regularly volunteers with organizations that are using rock climbing to expand opportunities for adaptive athletes, pre-teen girls, and people new to living in the U.S. Her favorite dinosaur is Stegosaurus.
